She - Madam Speaker - has announced her intention to pray for the president and has called for someone, whether it's his family or his people in his administration, to have an intervention with him, "for the good of the country."
The president, who tweeted portions of an edited video that made Pelosi seem like she was drunk while talking with the press, said Pelosi was "a mess" while declaring himself to be an extremely stable genius - even more stabler and geniuser than before when he was just a plain old stable genius, or even a very stable genius. And, to support his stability or genius or extremism (you pick) he asked others to comment on his temperament.
So the mental health folks? They're the ones who can provide us some information on whether there are mental health concerns with either of these two folks, and whether we can sleep easy at night or if we need to be afraid, very afraid, of what's happening at the highest levels of our government.
Who else had a note-worthy week?
Farmers, I guess, if adding another $16B in tariff welfare payments on top of the $12B already made available to them is a good thing. I think, though, that many of them would say they'd rather be selling their crops than cashing welfare checks.
The Chinese government is probably having a good week, after Trump gummed up the works when talking to the press about his Huawei ban.
Huawei is something that's very dangerous. You look at what they've done from a security standpoint, from a military standpoint, it's very dangerous. So it's possible that Huawei even would be included in some kind of trade deal. If we made a deal, I could imagine Huawei being possibly included in some form, some part of a trade deal. And, he's already backed away from his original plan, giving a partial reprieve. So now that the Chinese know that Trump is just blowing smoke with his ban on their tech giant, they should be feeling pretty good.
Rural telecom companies who might have to pay millions to get rid of their Huawei equipment if this thing goes on? They'll be looking for assistance, similar to what the farmers are getting (if on a smaller scale). Trade wars are so easy to win, aren't they?
Theresa May? Her resignation announcement summed up her week.
And James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, and Lisa Page? They've been accused of treason by the president; treason, of course, a charge punishable by death. That's not a good week.
And finally, how about them ark builders? Seems the Noah's Ark replica, down in Kentucky, has had some issues, including the road that leads to the dinosaurs and people walking the earth together history site being washed out by rain - damages that won't be covered by their insurance. So they're suing.
The ark company. Suing to get paid for rain damage. Bad week for them; good week for irony.
TGIF, everyone.
